How much does grooming cost?

Grooming prices based on size and coat type. While we can use weight for general quote, final base price category will be based on actual size and surface area. You can find a list of our base prices in the pricing tab.

Why is grooming so expensive? I pay less for my own hair!

Let’s learn a little more about the grooming process!

  • During the grooming process we groom your dogs entire body. We bathe, blow dry, trim and/or file nails, brush and de-shed, and provide a full body haircut.

  • And then there’s also this…we clean the booty butt, as well as those other unmentionables.

  • We do all that but at the end of the day the most distinguishing part is this: as dog groomers we are working with live animals. Groomers spend years learning how to safely handle your four legged family members. They are constantly moving which means we have to work on moving targets. They yank and pull and jump and sometimes even bite. They even pee and poop in our care; and unfortunately often ON US.

Let talk about the last time you pooped on your hairdresser? :D

Why was my dog shaved?

There two reasons why a dog would be shaved.

  1. You as the clients requested a shave down.

  2. Your dog was matted.

Why is my pet shaking?

Quite often we hear owners ask “Why is my dog shaking?” “Why won’t my dog go with you?” Sometimes even “What do you do to my dog to make him act this way?” Truth is most of them time your dog is more likely putting on a show then they are actually scared. Of course they want to stay with you. You’re their human after all! And there’s nothing wrong with that, but we promise that your dog will be just fine in our care and most likely will walk right back and stop shaking as soon as you are out of view.

What brushes do we recommend?

The type of brush you want to use on your dog all depends on the dogs coat and your overall goal for your dogs haircut style. For detailed recommendations please feel free to ask your groomer.

Can I have the same groomer every time?

Of course you can! If you are extra happy with your dogs haircut you are welcome to request the same groomer. If you can’t remember their name just ask! We keep records of every groom!

Can I request a different groomer?

Again, of course! Don’t worry we won’t take offense. If you’d like to try out someone different that is perfectly ok. All you have to do is ask.

I think my dog was injured during grooming.

If you think your dog was injured during a grooming session please tell us immediately! More often then not there very reasonable a logical explanations but we cannot determine cause or do anything to help if we are not informed.

I asked for this and got that, why?

We always do our best to be detailed when doing our check ins. We ask questions about length, ears, tail, and overall look of the groom. Sometimes miscommunication occurs and if so we will do our best to rectify it. If you’d like something changed please let us know right away and we will make the time to fix it. If it can’t be fixed we will make detailed notes in your pets file to insure we get it right next time! If you are unsure of how to convey what you would like pictures are always helpful.

What products do you use?

We use a variety of products. Brands include: Kelco, Laube, Artero, Iv San Bernard, Warren London, Double K. All of our product are high quality. Keeping a variety of brands and products allows us to find and use the best shampoos and containers for your dogs skin and coat type.

Do you require vaccine records?

Yes. All dogs are required to be up to date on rabies vaccines. I’m additions all day care clients must be up to date on bordatella, distemper and heart worm.
